Types of Giving

Memorial Gifts & Honorary Giving
Give tribute with an “in memory of” or “in honor of” friends or loved ones. You designate where you want a beautiful photo certificate sent.
Gift Memberships
Give a gift membership for birthdays, holidays, weddings, anniversaries, graduations or other special occasions. We will send a membership certificate to the gift membership recipient and a receipt to you.
Monthly Giving
Many people find it easier to make a smaller contribution each month, thereby increasing their total support without financial difficulty. By providing reliable funding and helping with our planning, monthly givers help us protect more land. We can charge your credit card in an amount you specify each month.
Gifts of Stock
Gifts of long-term appreciated stock and mutual fund shares are an easy way to make a lasting contribution. Benefits include: income tax saving, capital gain tax savings, and provide crucial support to the Land Trust.
In-Kind Gifts
Donations of goods or services can also be tax-deductible and in-kind friends are acknowledged in many of our communications materials.
Lookout Circle
As a Lookout Circle donor, you join generous individuals who support the Land Trust with an annual gift of $2,500 or more pledged for 3-5 years. Lookout Circle donors contribute 60 percent of the annual funds to the Land Trust and help ensure the protection of thousands of acres of historic, scenic and recreational open spaces.
The Lookout Circle takes its inspiration from its definition: a strategic act of observing or keeping watch. The common interest in and commitment to land protection and preservation among the Lookout Circle donors has allowed the Land Trust to play a big role in preserving over 22,000 so far. Gifts from Lookout Circle donors are fundamental to the Land Trust’s success.

Twice the Impact
Many companies will double the value of their employees’ gifts to non-profit organizations. Check with your company to see if they offer a matching gift program, and help the Land Trust obtain vital funds to do its work.
Donner Lake Rim Trail, Adopt-A-Quarter-Mile
Consider a $1,000 contribution to adopt a quarter mile along the Rim Trail. This is great way to memorialize your family’s enjoyment of trails. Donors will be recognized on a plaque at one of the trailhead informational kiosks. This is a great way to create a legacy that will benefit the entire community.

Donner Lake Rim Trail, Adopt-a-Bridge
Consider a $10,000 contribution to adopt a bridge along the Rim Trail. Adopters receive a permanent plaque at the bridge unveiled at a dedication ceremony.
