Truckee Donner Land Trust works with landowners, government agencies and the public to protect:

  • Critical open space and greenbelts in the Truckee Donner region;
  • Natural areas that aren’t yet threatened by imminent development and therefore are more affordable; and
  • Large open spaces that are threatened by immediate development and therefore expensive, but also of great value to the community.
We have protected over 11,000 acres of natural areas in the Truckee Donner region, and have plans to protect 35,000 more over the coming years.
