Leave a legacy of open space for future generations

The land under our feet … hiking Schallenberger Ridge, skiing Coldstream Canyon, or enjoying views of the stunning peaks surrounding the Donner Lake Rim Trail. When you include the Land Trust in your will or estate plans you leave a legacy for future generations, ensuring they will be able to enjoy the lands we cherish today. A planned gift — depending on your situation — may reduce your income taxes, reduce or eliminate capital gains taxes, reduce your gift or estate tax, provide income to you and your loved ones, and help support the Land Trust’s efforts to protect our mountain home.

Sample Bequest Language:
I give and bequeath ____________ (amount, percent of estate or description of property) to the Truckee Donner Land Trust for its general purposes and use at the discretion of its Board of Directors.
