Trails and Vistas is a unique art event that offers the community an inspiring art production that involves dance, music, and installation art on a guided hike through the beautiful landscape of the Sierra. Local and national artists and performers present a wonderful experience in the environment through the arts.

The event is a unique collaboration between the Truckee Donner Land Trust, InnerRhythms Dance Theater and Arts for Schools. The three organizations work closely with Founder and Artistic Director, Nancy Tieken Lopez, and Co-Director/Choreographer, Elizabeth Archer, to strengthen ties between art and the environment.

North Tahoe Plein Air Painting
With the Autumn Food and Wine Festival at Northstar
Saturday & Sunday, September 12-13, 2009
Plein air painting is painting in a landscape quickly in order to catch the light and sense of location. Local and regional plein air artists will paint on location for three days and will auction off these paintings at a public sale, demonstration and silent auction on Saturday and Sunday in conjunction with the Autumn Food and Wine Festival at Northstar.

Donner Lake Rim Trail:
Join us in completing the new section joining the Tahoe Donner Association's Glacier Way Trailhead with the Rim Trail at the Drifter Hut.

Waddle Ranch Trail System:

2009 Summer Hikes and Walks

The Land Trust offers a number of invigorating hikes to highlight and explore the lands our members have helped protect. We will announce our Summer 2009 hike schedule in our spring newsletter.
